Docking S71 "Gpard " at MArs Wilhelmshaven May 3rd 2015

 

On May 3rd 20145 the future museumsboat S71 "Gepard" was towed  into the dock by a tug of Marinearsenal Wilhelmshaven. The boat was to be demilitarized in accordance with the Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz (Law for the Control of War-Weapons) i.e. propellers and shafts were to be demounted.

After leaving the dock the boat was layilng alongside two decommissioned minehunters until she were to be transferred to the German Navy Museum.
