Specials

In the years 1993/1994 the missilestartequipment and the corresponding fire-control-systems were deinstalled and the boats were reconstructed to minelayers by Aker-Shipyard. At the same time the middle-motors on "Tuima", "Tuisku", and "Tuuli" were removed and teh middle-axle was pulled out. Thus the maximum speed was recuced to 30 kts. All four boats were sold to Egypt in 2006. The boats of the "Tuima"-ckass were the basisfor the development of the own "Helsinki"-class.
