S-Boat Class 145 (Missile-S-Boat)

Because of too high cost of the planned class S 144 with CODAG-propulsion and a costly AGIS-Command an d Control System (FÜWES) a new class of boats was designed with a standard hull and a standard propulsion system and a varying weapon fit. The class S 145 was planned as missile-S-boat with 4 x MM 38-Exocet, 2 x 40mm-Bofors MK and M 22- resp. Vega-Pollux-firecontrol system. The original planning for the artillery was then altered in 1 x 40mm Twin-MK and 1 x 76mm OTO Melara. In the plans as of the year 1970 not only this change was enclosed but also an AGIS-FüWES.
