This ship was the former Danish motoship "Almena". It was confiscated by the KM in 1940. Reconstruction was performed until May 1942 at Naples. Thereafter the ship was deployed at Augusta and Pireus. At Pireus it suffered of a braking of the crankshaft in the main engine. Since a repair was not possible at Pireus it was sailed back to Augusta. During a supply-voyage for the submarines from La Spezia to Cagliari/Sardinia it was sunk by a torpedo-hit from the british submarine "Safari" off Sardinia on 11.11.1942.
