Marking of the Boats

The coat of arms of 2. SFltl shows a S-boat with the four aces of the playing cards as. The boats had from about mid 1942 an ace of the different colours partly within a frame or with a crossbeam on the side of the hull under the bridge. One boat had the suit of the German playing cards. Some boats also had their ace on the front of the bridge. Until today it was not possible to associate the aces from the few available pictures with the different boats since there is no information from ex members of the 2. SFltl.
