Specials

The hulls were built of steel, the superstructures were of fiberglas. The boats had a modern firecontrol-system M20..

From 1962 until 1967 a total of 21 boats of "Storm"-class were built. The trails-boat "Storm" was so heavily strained that it had tio be broken up, therefore, P 960 "Storm"  was finalized as one of the last new constructions. Two boats had to be decommissioned because of damages caused by gales. Eight boats were decommissioned in 1991/92, three of them were given to th Baltic states without armament and sensors. The boat "Blink" (P 961) is at Marinemueet Karljohansvern, in the former MAin-Base of Sjøforsvaret north of Horten.

The boat delivered to Estonia was employed by the bordertroops as PVL 105 "Torm" from 1994 until 2008. Today she is a museumsboat in the Eesti Meremuuseum in the sea-airport of Tallinn.

1995 a boat was delievered to Latvia and ws commissioned for the Latvian Navy as P 04 "Bulta". Also in  1995 the boat ex-"Kjekk" was delivered to the Lethuanian Navy and commissioned as P 31 "Dzūkas".

All other boats were decommissioned until 2000. Latvia in 2001 got three more boats, P 01 "Zibens", P 02 "Lode", and P 03 "Linga". All boat in the meantime are decommissioned and were broken up. Also Lethuania  got to more boats in 2001 which were commissioned as P 32 "Sèlis" and P 33 "Skalvis". AS the last boat of the class "Sèlis"  was decommissioned in 2017.
